Situated on a hilltop to the south of the bastide village of Lauzerte in the Tarn et Garonne, Le Grès faces south across the valley of the Barguelonne with wide views to the distant Pyrenees.

The house is approached through a wood and is completely secluded surrounded by its lawns and terraces planted with lavender, rosemary and flowering shrubs which fall to the south past fig trees and a meadow to vineyards amd a small lake beyond. There is an air of tranquility and peace.

The terraces, one south facing and one under a vine against the west wall of the house provide, respectively sun and dappled shade important for lunch and comfortable for dinner during the summer months.

The heated pool (11m x 5m) is in the centre of one of the lawns and is protected by an alarm system thus giving peace of mind to those with small children. A large Catalpa tree provides shade to the poolside lawn in the midday heat as does the pool pavilion convenient for poolside pre-dinner drinks.

The house, which has 6 bedrooms, five bathrooms and a shower room accomodates 12. The large fireplace in the Salon provides comfort in the winter months while the library with its fireplace and westerly views at the other end of the house and allows an escape to ones own seclusion in the winter and direct access to the poolside in the summer.
